What is the difference between retard and entetic coated tablets?
- Retard tablets:
Are coated with a thin layer of different kind of coating agent which make the active constituent sustained release.
- Enteric coated tablets:
Are dissolved in the intestine and not affected by the stomach juices e.g. anthelmentic. Passes the stomach & releases in the intestine.
